Al Mulla honors cricket tourney winners

KUWAIT CITY, March 22: At a special social and sports competition held recently at Boulevard Park in Salmiya, Al Mulla Group celebrated and awarded the top winning teams in the final games of the Al Mulla 2023 Employees Cricket Tournament.

The threemonth- long tournament, which witnessed exciting competitions among Al Mulla Group employees from different divisions and Business subsidiaries, was sponsored by Al Mulla Group and organized by the staff of Al Mulla Exchange as part of the Group’s CSR strategies that promote active and healthy lifestyles among its employees.

The final match in the tournament and awards ceremony were attended by the Managing Director of the Al Mulla Trading and Manufacturing & Financial Services Groups Mr. Hormuzda Davar, accompanied by the General Manager Mr. Philip Koshy, and Asst. General Manager Mr. Joseph Newton, as well as members of the management teams and staff of Al Mulla Group. Al Mulla Group T12 Cricket League Tournament 2023 is a professional competition that has brought together over the past few months over 14 different teams from among our Group employees who competed vigorously over 42 matches to reach the final matches.

Throughout the tournament, our staff and Cricket fans and enthusiasts enjoyed with their colleagues, friends, and families their favorite sports activity over the weekends in a fun and positive environment away from the office environment. Commenting on this event, the Managing Director of Trading and Manufacturing & Financial Services at Al Mulla Group Mr. Hormuzda Davar said: “In every game and every tournament, there has to be 1 winner, but the losing team cannot be called losers because they competed and played the game! So everyone who has played in this tournament is a Winner, and by definition our Group is a winner! Al Mulla Group is always keen to sponsor such activities that promote employees’ healthy lifestyle and social engagement and strengthens collaborative ties among our colleagues on different level outside office hours.

We should also thank the volunteers and staff members not just from Al Mulla Exchange but across the Group Divisions, who have worked diligently over the past many weeks on organizing and preparing for these 42 sports competitions at different locations across Kuwait among all the 14 Al Mulla Group Cricket teams.” He also humorously added, “We look forward to seeing other teams from Al Mulla Group win the championship in future tournaments!” In accordance with our Corporate Social Responsibility Policies, Al Mulla Group has over the years embraced and sponsored a variety of initiatives that aim at engaging our employee community in a variety of sports and socially responsible activities to enhance our employees’ collaborative relationships and team bonding activities.
