KUWAIT CITY, Feb 24: The Director of Public Relations at the Public Authority for Manpower Aseel Al- Mazeedi has called on the employers to ensure the safety of workers by providing them with protective clothing and tools and personal means such as gloves, hard hats, shoes, suits, masks and other means of prevention, reports Al-Anba daily.
Al-Mazeedi said that protective clothing should be appropriate to the nature of operations and the type of risks to which workers are exposed and workers are trained to use them, along with the need to take into account the provision of proper methods of conservation, cleaning and disinfection.
She stressed that the employer may not deduct any amounts from workers’ wages in exchange for providing these means and commitment to all means of providing occupational safety for employment.
