KUWAIT CITY, Dec 18: Mohammed Jassim Al-Marzouq, owner of Ajmal Stud, highlighted his deep passion for breeding purebred Arabian horses, particularly those with Egyptian bloodlines, renowned for their exceptional reputation worldwide.
Ajmal Stud will sponsor the eighth gathering of Arabian horse races featuring Egyptian-blooded horses at the Shooting and Equestrian Club next Monday, taking place at the club’s racetrack.
Al-Marzouq noted that enthusiasts of this equestrian tradition are committed to supporting and preserving this type of horse racing. The 2025-2026 sports season has seen substantial backing, including the organization of 25 trophies in club races, with total prizes exceeding 55,000 Kuwaiti dinars, encouraging participants to continue excelling in this remarkable sport.
He expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed to the initiative’s success, including the club management and the Higher Racing Authority for their approval. Al-Marzouq wished all participants the best and affirmed that Ajmal Stud will continue its annual support of horse racing.
The previous seven gatherings at the Shooting Club have seen victories in races for purebred Arabian horses with Egyptian bloodlines by horses such as Sahab, Shamikh Al-Asimi, Thamer Al-Shaqran, Lazzaz Al-Amiriya, Khitaf Al-Nawader, Shamikh Al-Asimi, and Kuhail Al-Ghanaim. These horses won cups sponsored by notable studs including Al-Raya Stud (Alaa Hamad Al-Roumi), Al-Muriyat Stud (Nawaf Jassim Al-Shihab), Al-Durra Stud (Faisal Hamoud Al-Ahmad), Al-Athbah Stud (Dr. Jarallah Ali Al-Mari), Al-Rehab Stud (Suleiman Mohammed Al-Qanai), Al-Shaya Stud (Abdul Latif Ahmed Al-Shaya), and Al-Adiyat Stud (Mahmoud Al-Zubaid).
