KUWAIT CITY, Jan 21: The Kuwaiti Federation for Sport for All has announced that Kuwait Sports Day will be held on February 7 on Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Bridge, under the patronage of the Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi.
Federation President Faisal Al-Maqseed stated that the event reflects the state’s vision of making sport a daily habit and a positive social culture that is embraced by all segments of society. He described Kuwait Sports Day as a national initiative aimed at motivating citizens and residents to participate in physical activity within a safe and well-organized setting.
Al-Maqseed noted that hosting the event on Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Bridge carries strong national symbolism, as the landmark represents Kuwait’s modern development and urban progress.
He added that the federation is coordinating closely with relevant government authorities to ensure the highest standards of safety and organization, ensuring the success of the event in a manner befitting Kuwait’s reputation for hosting major national activities.
Al-Maqseed emphasized that strong government backing and the Public Authority for Sport’s full support highlight the country’s commitment to promoting public health and fostering an active, balanced community, adding that Kuwait Sports Day has become a fixed annual date on the national events calendar.
