KUWAIT CITY, Oct 10: In a significant development, Kuwaiti women have once again shattered the male-dominated monopoly over seats on cooperative society boards of directors, reports Al-Qabas daily.

The daily added, that Mashael Al-Kulaib and Ibtisam Al-Fraih emerged victorious in the recent board of directors elections for the Abdullah Al-Salem and Al-Mansouriya Suburbs Cooperative.

This victory by the women was notable, with Al-Kulaib securing 197 votes and Al-Fraih obtaining 143 votes. With the successful election of Al-Kulaib and Al-Farih, the count of women serving on association boards of directors now stands at three. This achievement follows Haya Al-Maqroun's previous triumph in the elections for the People’s Cooperative Society.
