KUWAIT CITY, Nov 30: Ali Ahmed Al-Kharafi of Kuwait Equestrian Club claimed top honours in the third round of the Kuwait Equestrian Federation Show Jumping League, held Friday and Saturday at the Police Sports Union Equestrian and Shooting Club in Subhan. The round offered KD 13,000 in prizes.
In the 140 cm Grand Prix, Al-Kharafi was the only rider to complete the course faultlessly, finishing in 83.03 seconds. He was followed by Fawaz Al-Subaie, Rakan Al-Hassawi, Abdulrahman Al-Fuzaia, Latifa Al-Hajri, Abdullah Al-Awadhi, and Abrar Al-Muslim. Awards were presented by Kuwait Equestrian Federation President Masoud Jawhar Hayat, Vice President Sheikh Yousef Mishal Al-Sabah, Secretary-General Ghazi Faisal Al-Jarwi, and Kuwait Equestrian Centre President Jassim Mohammed Al-Kharafi.
In other events, Abdullah Al-Eibani won the 130 cm Medium Prize, while Mohammed Al-Oseimi topped the 120 cm Small Prize. On the first day, Hussein Ahmed Al-Kharafi won the 135 cm Grand Prix, Mohammed Al-Shammari took the 125 cm Medium Prize, and Mohammed Al-Saeedi led the 115 cm Small Prize.
The event was attended by Sheikh Fahad Yousef Al-Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, along with senior Police Sports Union officials and federation executives.
Masoud Jawhar Hayat said:
"We are honored by the presence of the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior at the first official round of the Equestrian League at the Police Sports Union. Their support will give a strong boost to the development of equestrian sports in Kuwait."
