Al Jazeera cameraman killed, reporter injured in Israeli attack

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 16: In a distressing incident, Samer Abu-Daqqa, a cameraman affiliated with Al-Jazeera Arabic, lost his life, and the news channel’s correspondent, Wael Al Dahdouh, sustained injuries during a drone attack carried out by the Israeli occupation forces on Friday. The targeted location was a school providing shelter to displaced individuals in Khan Yunis City, situated in the southern Gaza Strip.

Abu-Daqqa, aged 45, tragically bled to death for an extended period, as eyewitnesses reported that the Israeli occupation forces obstructed ambulances from reaching the site. Al-Dahdouh suffered a moderate injury to his hand, as confirmed by medical sources.

This incident marks the 90th casualty among media professionals since the commencement of the Israeli occupation’s aggression against the Gaza Strip on October 7.
