KUWAIT CITY, Aug 19: Dean of Kuwaiti Journalism and Editor-in-Chief of Al-Seyassah and Arab Times newspapers Ahmed Al-Jarallah met with founder of ‘The Amir is in the Heart’ book project Dalal Al-Saif, Diwaniya Relations Coordinator of the project Fahad Al-Rish, Yahya Al-Rish and Faten Rawdan Al-Armali at his office on Wednesday, reports Al-Seyassah daily. During the meeting, Al-Jarallah was briefed on the concept, objectives and implementation phases of the project.
The meeting included a presentation on the aim of the project to document the feelings of Kuwaitis towards their political leadership and nation. This documentation is based on meetings and events held in Kuwaiti diwaniyas (traditional meeting places), and the messages conveyed through these gatherings, reflecting the values of loyalty, patriotism and devotion. Al-Jarallah affirmed the importance of national initiatives that preserve the collective memory of society and document the citizens’ stances and feelings towards their political leadership. He praised the initiative and its patriotic message. He stated that the documentation of these sentiments is a vital legacy for the future generations and a testament to the deep ties binding the people of Kuwait and their leaders.
On the other hand, Al-Saif expressed her gratitude to Al-Jarallah for supporting the project. She praised the coverage of the Arab Times and Al-Seyassah newspapers of the events and meetings held in diwaniyas, as well as their contributions to raising awareness on the project and highlighting its message. At the end of the meeting, Fahad Al-Rish presented a plaque and a letter of gratitude and appreciation to Al-Jarallah in recognition of his endorsement of the project. He also presented a letter of gratitude and appreciation to colleague Bassam Al-Qassas in recognition of his efforts in covering the diwaniya events related to the initiative.
