Editor-in-Chief of Al-Seyassah and Arab Times, Ahmed Al-Jarallah, receives Dr. Michael Herb, Professor of Political Science at Georgia State University, at the Al-Seyassah office.
KUWAIT CITY, Feb 8: Dean of Kuwaiti Journalism and Editorin- Chief of Al-Seyassah and Arab Times newspapers Ahmed Al- Jarallah met with a delegation from the Reconnaissance Center for Research and Studies at his office on Sunday. The delegation included Professor of Political Science at Georgia State University Dr. Michael Herb, who specializes in the study of Gulf political systems and their development. Founder and President of the Center Abdulaziz Al-Anjeri headed the delegation that also included Yousef Ahmed Al-Ghossain, Saqer Al-Ghanim, Sheikh Mubarak Azzam Al-Mubarak and Sheikh Sabah Abdullah Salem Al-Hamoud.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Herb, who is currently visiting Kuwait, expressed his gratitude to Al-Jarallah for the interviews and analyses published in Al-Seyassah and Arab Times newspapers. He praised the professional level of the articles, which addressed Gulf issues from a sound political and economic perspective. He also emphasized the important role of the media in conveying specialized analysis to the public in an easy-to-understand language without compromising academic depth.

The attendees exchanged views on the Center’s specialization and its role in providing studies that analyze Gulf political systems, the accompanying economic transformations, and issues related to political stability, governance and investment environment.
These are areas in which Dr. Herb is considered one of the leading international specialists, through his academic research on the development of Gulf states and their relationship to the regional political economy. Furthermore, the attendees congratulated Al-Jarallah on his safe return from medical treatment abroad and the resumption of his media and intellectual contributions, wishing him continuous good health and well-being.
On the other hand, Al-Jarallah affirmed that “professional media is an essential partner for research centers in highlighting research issues related to public affairs.” He affirmed the importance of providing analytical content that reflects reality and contributes to raising the political and economic awareness of readers in light of the rapid changes that the region is witnessing.
