Al-Jarallah Hosts Indian Ambassador-Designate, Discusses Media Cooperation

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 11: Dean of Kuwaiti Journalism and Editor-in-Chief of Al-Seyassah and Arab Times newspapers Ahmed Al-Jarallah hosted Her Excellency Mrs. Paramita Tripathi, Ambassador-designate of the Republic of India to the State of Kuwait, at his office on Wednesday. They deliberated on ways to strengthen media cooperation to solidify the friendly relations between the two countries in various sectors. They engaged in a dialogue emphasizing the vital role of media in building cultural understanding between their peoples.

Both parties underscored the need for balanced and professional reporting to accurately depict the deep historical and growing economic, cultural and educational cooperation between Kuwait and India. Tripathi acknowledged the significant role of the Kuwaiti press, specifically Al-Seyassah and Arab Times newspapers, in covering the activities of the Indian Embassy and the Indian community in Kuwait. She commended the high level of professionalism exhibited by the two newspapers in their coverage of issues of mutual concern.

In response, Al-Jarallah affirmed the position of the media as a key partner in supporting diplomatic relations and reinforcing the historical friendship between the two nations. He confirmed the readiness of his newspapers to draw attention to the initiatives and events that showcase the depth of these ties and support bilateral cooperation efforts. Also present at the meeting were Managing Editor of the Arab Times Marlon Aquino Malinao, Online Media Manager John Fernandes and colleague Mohammad Al-Farhan.
