Minister of State for Youth and Sports Affairs Dr. Tareq Al-Jalahma hold meeting with presidents of local sports clubs.

KUWAIT CITY, July 13: Minister of State for Youth and Sports Affairs Dr. Tareq Al-Jalahma met with presidents of local sports clubs to discuss key issues affecting the sports sector, including club facilities and the organization of competitions.

The Public Authority for Sports said the meeting focused on assessing the current situation of clubs and addressing the main challenges they face, while providing a platform for dialogue and the exchange of ideas aimed at improving the overall sports system.

During the meeting, clubs suggested reviewing the competition format by staging matches at three or four designated venues instead of following the traditional home-and-away system.

Al-Jalahma urged clubs to use their investment revenues to maintain their facilities, noting that the ministry has not allocated a dedicated budget for maintenance work.
