KUWAIT CITY, Feb 17: The Board of Directors of the Public Authority for Sport convened its meeting recently under the chairmanship of Minister of State for Youth and Sports Affairs Dr. Tareq Al-Jalahma, marking his first session since taking office. The meeting was attended by board members and senior executive officials of the Authority.

According to a statement, discussions focused on key strategic priorities, including upgrading sports infrastructure, strengthening governance and transparency standards, and increasing support for sports federations and clubs. The board also reviewed performance indicators and the progress of ongoing projects.

Dr. Al-Jalahma stressed the importance of accelerating implementation, enhancing administrative efficiency, and expanding cooperation with relevant stakeholders to meet the ambitions of the next phase and reinforce Kuwait’s standing on the regional and international sports stage.

He further highlighted the need for teamwork to deliver a qualitative shift in institutional performance and elevate the overall sports system.

The meeting concluded with agreement on a phased action plan outlining clear priorities and specific timelines, alongside regular performance reviews to ensure the Authority achieves its strategic goals.
