Al-Jahra Club enters new phase after funding restored

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 19: Al-Jahra Club’s board of directors has welcomed the restoration of the club’s financial and administrative allocations, thanking the Minister of State for Youth and Sports Affairs, Dr Tareq Al-Jalahma, Acting Director General of the Public Authority for Sports Bashar Abdullah, Sports Organizations Director, Jarrah Al-Saeedi, and the authority’s legal department, headed by Mishal Al-Asousi, for their efforts in resolving the matter.

In a statement, the board said the suspension of financial allocations had created significant difficulties in carrying out its responsibilities. Despite the challenges, it continued to work with the financial committee formed by the authority until the issue was brought to a close and the allocations were reinstated.

The board noted that the funding suspension affected the club’s sports teams as well, with some facing the possibility of halting their activities. It said the club remained committed to fulfilling its responsibilities and ensuring that its teams continued to operate despite the difficult circumstances.

The board also expressed its appreciation to the players, their families, and the technical and administrative staff for their cooperation and patience during the past period, praising their commitment in dealing with the challenges.

It described the restoration of the club’s financial allocations and rights as an important step toward overcoming the impact of the previous period and beginning a new phase centered on stability and clarity. The board said it would continue its sporting activities in an organized manner while working toward the objectives it had previously announced.

The board stressed that its decision to explain the circumstances surrounding the suspension was not intended to escalate the issue or blame any party. Rather, it sought to present a complete picture to the public and relevant authorities and highlight the responsibilities the board had assumed while continuing its work under difficult conditions.
