Al-Houti to receive Gulf 27 honor as Yacoub praises KFA

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 3: Former Kuwait star Jassem Yacoub has thanked the Kuwait Football Association for selecting former national team captain Saad Al-Houti to receive an honor on the sidelines of Gulf 27 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Yacoub, famously known as “The Scary One,” praised the decision, saying Al-Houti deserved the recognition for his dedication, loyalty, and achievements alongside his teammates, sportsmanship, and respectful treatment of others.

He also wished the Kuwait national team players success in their upcoming tournaments.

Al-Houti was captain of the Kuwait side that won the 1980 AFC Asian Cup and also led the national team at the 1982 FIFA World Cup in Spain.
