Al-Houli takes charge as Al-Qadsia volleyball technical director

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 27: Al-Qadsia has appointed Kuwaiti coach Ahmed Al-Houli as technical director of the club’s volleyball sector for the 2026-27 season, as part of a broader plan to strengthen the sport’s structure and oversee all age-group teams.

Al-Houli’s extensive experience in Kuwaiti volleyball and his familiarity with local players and coaches were key factors behind his appointment. He will supervise the technical operations of the volleyball department ahead of the new campaign.

The club’s volleyball department is also finalizing preparations for the season. Al-Qadsia previously appointed Humber Alejandro as head coach of the first team, with Mohammed Al-Damkhi taking charge as volleyball director and Diego joining the coaching staff as assistant coach.

The first-team squad has also been reinforced with the signing of Beninese professional Daouda Yakubu, while local players Yousef Mandeel and Abdullah Al-Assaf have joined the squad.

The moves highlight Al-Qadsia’s ambition to establish a comprehensive volleyball program, combining investment in the first team with greater attention to youth development and the creation of a strong pipeline of talent for the future.
