KUWAIT CITY, Sept 14: Al-Hilal was held to a 2-2 draw by visiting Al-Qadsia in the second round of the Saudi Professional League, leaving both sides level on points, with Al-Hilal in fourth and Al-Qadsia in third.

Al-Qadsia opened the scoring in the sixth minute through Christopher Bonso, but Darwin Núñez quickly equalized for Al-Hilal early in the second half. Julián Quiñones restored Al-Qadsia’s lead in the 50th minute, before Rúben Neves converted a penalty in the 73rd to secure a point for the “Blue.”

Elsewhere, Al-Khaleej defeated Al-Fayha 3-0, while Al-Taawoun edged Al-Akhdoud 3-2.

Off the field, Al-Hilal is embroiled in a dispute with Brazilian left-back Renan Lodi, who left for Brazil without the club’s knowledge and later officially announced the termination of his contract.

In an official statement, communications director Hisham Al-Katiri confirmed that the club received a notice from Lodi’s legal representative claiming a unilateral termination of his contract. He stressed that Al-Hilal will take all necessary legal measures to protect its rights and pledged to keep fans informed of all developments, emphasizing the club’s commitment to transparency.
