Al-Harbi calls time on 28-year handball career

KUWAIT CITY, Sept. 13: Former Kuwait national handball player Mishari Abbas Al-Harbi has announced his retirement after a 28-year career that saw him represent several Kuwaiti clubs and the national team.

Al-Harbi began his career with Al-Sulaibikhat before also playing for Kuwait Club, Kazma, and Al-Arabi. He spent many years with the Kuwait national team, featuring in numerous domestic, Asian, and international competitions.

At the international level, he represented Kuwait in several Asian competitions and also played for the youth national team, including at the World Championship.

Following his retirement, Al-Harbi thanked the administrative, coaching, and medical staff who supported him throughout his career, as well as his former teammates who shared his journey on the court.

He expressed pride in his years in Kuwaiti handball, bringing an accomplished career spanning nearly three decades to an end.
