Al Hamra Organizes Pink Month Activities to Promote Community Health and Breast Cancer Awareness

KUWAIT CITY, October 31: As part of its social responsibility and commitment to supporting the community, Al Hamra Real Estate Company launched the 'October Pledge campaign under the global theme "No One Should Face Breast Cancer Alone" at Al Hamra Shopping Center at the beginning of October. The campaign aims to raise awareness of the importance of early detection of breast cancer and encourages individuals to adopt healthy lifestyles that help prevent the disease. This is in line with the company's strategy to enhance community health and support government efforts to tackle this global health issue.

Reflecting on the success of the campaign, Abdulaziz Al Dhuwaihi, Manager of Marketing & Public Relations at Al Hamra, said: “This year’s October Promise campaign stood out with its diverse activities that inspired visitors and offered them a supportive and purposeful experience. By embracing the global theme 'No One Should Face Breast Cancer Alone,' we were able to create a sense of community and solidarity. We noticed a positive community response, reflecting a collective sense of responsibility and strengthening solidarity with women affected by this illness.”

Al Dhuwaihi also noted that the focus on physical fitness was an essential part of this year’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month, adding that physical activity can contribute to breast cancer prevention. For this reason, the campaign organized the fifth edition of the Annual Hamra Rowathon on October 19, which saw a broad participation of both men and women and greatly encouraged physical fitness as a means to general health.

This year’s campaign at Al Hamra Shopping Center featured a variety of community activities and awareness initiatives, with key highlights including the Interactive Support Board, launched on October 1, which allowed visitors to express their support and solidarity with those affected. Additionally, the center introduced a fruitful collaboration with Ibn Sina Hospital, offering free blood screenings and medical consultations from October 8-12. This provided visitors the chance to check on their health and learn about early detection and prevention methods.

This campaign underscores Al Hamra Real Estate Company's commitment to its social responsibility through diverse initiatives aimed at promoting a culture of prevention and enhancing social solidarity. The company continues its pioneering role in supporting the Kuwaiti community and reinforcing the concept of community health.
