‘Social Affairs’ promises to help Al-Badri
KUWAIT CITY, March 9: After publishing the tragic story of the singer Abbas Al-Badri who complained that his relatives had abandoned him to the extent his ‘car’ became his roof over his head, his many fans who consider him a pioneer of the Kuwaiti song’, interacted to the point that they went to Fintas to get first hand information about his situation, reports Al-Anba daily.
Many contacts were made with the Kuwaiti Artists Association and the Kuwaiti Artists Society but none seemed to have made a move.
A relief came from the Ministry of Social Affairs when the Director of Public Relations, Abdullah Jassem Al-Hamdan, interacted with what was published and visited the singer and received him in his office Sunday and is said to have promised to provide him adequate shelter within ‘a few days’ because he is one of the pioneers of the Kuwaiti song.
