KUWAIT CITY, Oct 19: After dedicating 18 years of unwavering commitment and hard work, Kuwaiti farmer Mubarak Al-Haifi has finally reaped the rewards of his labor, yielding a unique and exclusive variety of palm trees that he proudly named 'Haifi Kuwait.' This extraordinary achievement has firmly established the country on the global map of date production, reports Al-Rai daily

The fruits of these palm trees stand out for their delectable flavor, generous size, small kernels, and a range of distinct attributes that encapsulate every stage of the fruit's growth.

Connoisseurs have the privilege of savoring the delectable taste of the "Khalal – Basr" fruit and relishing it.

Al-Haifi has expressed his determination to assign this particular name to his palm tree, aiming to position Kuwait as a distinguished player in the global spectrum of date varieties. This achievement was further underscored by his first-place victory in a competition conducted by the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research, which recognized his new palm tree as the best.

Furthermore, Al-Haifi has collaborated with the institute to employ tissue culture in the propagation of his palm trees, ensuring that the offspring trees are identical to the parent tree and bear the same exceptional fruits.
