KUWAIT CITY, Aug 24: Al-Fintas Folklore Band performed traditional Kuwaiti arts at The Avenues Mall on Saturday evening as part of the "17th Cultural Summer Festival" organized by the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL).

Band leader Najib Al-Muzayel told KUNA that Al-Fintas Band, established in 1919, is one of Kuwait’s oldest folklore ensembles. The band is renowned for performing a wide range of traditional arts, including Al-Samri, Al-Ashouri, Al-Ardha Al-Bahriya, Al-Najdi, and Al-Harbiyya.

Al-Muzayel noted that the group regularly performs at national and social events, emphasizing its mission to preserve Kuwaiti folklore. During Saturday’s performance, the band’s skillful presentation of traditional rhythms, particularly drum patterns, engaged the audience and created an interactive and joyful experience for mall visitors.

The "17th Cultural Summer Festival," which continues until August 29, features a variety of cultural and artistic activities aimed at promoting awareness of Kuwait’s national heritage across society.
