KUWAIT CITY, Dec 6: The West Asia Women’s Volleyball Championship continued in Kuwait, running until December 13, with exciting matches. Al-Fatat Club secured a 3–0 victory over Qatar, while Salwa Al-Sabah Club defeated Al-Arabi of Qatar by the same score. Jordan’s Al-Nasr also triumphed over Saudi Arabia’s Al-Fayha in a thrilling five-set match.

Earlier, Al-Fatat had defeated Lebanon’s Al-Qalamoun 3–0. Sanharib Club of Iraq overcame Al-Fayha of Saudi Arabia 3–0, and Sharjah of the UAE beat Yemen’s Al-Nasr by the same score.

The opening day of the championship, held at Salwa Al-Sabah Sports Club, featured several notable victories: Al-Ula of Saudi Arabia defeated Qatar, Al-Nasr of Jordan overcame Al-Quds of Palestine, and Salwa Al-Sabah defeated Al-Nasr of Yemen, setting the tone for a competitive tournament.
