Silver medalists Al-Fatah Club celebrate with the national flag at the end of the championship.

JEDDAH, April 3: Al-Fatah Club secured second place in the women's division of the West Asian Table Tennis Club Championship held in Jeddah. They were defeated in the final by Aali of Bahrain with a score of three games to two. In the men's final, Bahrain emerged victorious over Al-Ittihad of Saudi Arabia with a score of 3-2, clinching the title.

Al-Tadamon finished in sixth place, while Al-Fahaheel took seventh place in the men's category. In the women's category, Salwa Al-Sabah Club also secured seventh place.

The tournament kicked off last Friday in Jeddah and was organized by the Saudi Table Tennis Federation in collaboration with the West Asian Federation. This marked the first time Saudi Arabia hosted an event of such scale in the history of the table tennis federation.

Thirteen clubs competed at the men's level, including Al-Fahaheel and Al-Tadamon from Kuwait, Al-Ittihad, Al-Ahly, and Al-Shabab from Saudi Arabia, Darbandikhan from Iraq, Al-Arabi, Al-Sadd, and Qatar from Qatar, Hussein City from Jordan, Sar and Bahrain from Bahrain, and Ghazir from Lebanon.

At the women's level, seven clubs participated, namely Salwa Al-Sabah, Al-Fatat from Kuwait, Military Industries from Iraq, Hamada from Jordan, Aali from Bahrain, Al-Women from Qatar, and Al-Raed from Saudi Arabia. Al-Fatah Club's roster consisted of four players: Manwa Al-Shammari, Maryam Abdul-Rahim, Sheikha Al-Hamad, and Liu Fei.
