KUWAIT CITY, Nov 22: Al-Fahaheel has strengthened its squad by signing Palestinian defender Islam Batran, who replaces Brazilian Brendon Lucas. The Kuwaiti club currently fields several foreign players, including Algerian Zakaria Ben Shaa and Brazilians Lucas Brambilla, Bruno Clisetao, and Vitor Da Silva.
Born in 1994, Batran began his career with Shabab Yatta in the 2012–2013 season and has since played for Ahli Al-Khalil (Palestine), Wadi Degla (Egypt), Al-Jazeera and Al-Hussein (Jordan), and Hilal Al-Quds (Palestine) in the 2021–2022 season. He has also represented the Palestinian senior and Olympic national teams. Al-Fahaheel currently sits seventh in the Zain Premier League with 10 points from eight rounds, while league leaders Kuwait Club top the table with 19 points.
