DOHA, Dec 25 (KUNA): Kuwait’s weightlifting team delivered an impressive performance, securing a total of 12 medals across two major events: the West Asia Weightlifting Championships for seniors and the Qatar International Weightlifting Cup 2025, both held in Doha.

At the West Asia Championships, Abrar Al-Fahad dominated the 77-kg category, claiming three gold medals, while Hanan Al-Amir and Al-Zahraa Kamshad each earned three bronze medals in the 77-kg and 69-kg divisions, respectively.

Meanwhile, at the Qatar International Weightlifting Cup, Abrar Al-Fahad added three more bronze medals in the 77-kg category to her tally.

The events are part of a packed weightlifting calendar in Qatar, which includes the 10th edition of the Qatar International Weightlifting Cup 2025, the Arab Weightlifting Championship for seniors, youth, and juniors, and the West Asia Weightlifting Championship for the same age groups.
