KUWAIT CITY, April 22: Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr Bader Al-Essa is facing increased parliamentary and student pressure to form a committee for investigating the fraud and manipulations carried out during the election of the Students’ Union in Cairo, reports Al-Shahed daily quoting informed sources.

They revealed that the ministry was sent a report on the manipulations committed during the screening process, indicating that the ministry is planning to take a number of decisions such as dissolving the union and holding new elections.

The sources said the Muslim Brotherhood Group is pressurizing the minister against taking a decision based on the parliamentary stance in this regard because the student executive body is the group’s student wing.

Meanwhile, they indicated about a plan to hold a protest on Wednesday in front of the headquarters of the executive body of the students unions to condemn the arbitrary practices of the executive authority against Kuwaiti students inside and outside the country, the most recent of which is the students’ elections in Egypt.
