KUWAIT CITY, Nov 23: Jassem Al-Dhiyab, the Technical Director of the Asian Handball Federation, affirms that the 26th edition of the Asian Handball Champions League, presently hosted by Al-Qadsia Club, showcases an impressive general technical standard. This is evident in the fierce competition among more than five clubs vying for coveted spots in the tournament's semi-finals.
Al-Dhiyab emphasizes the commendable efforts of Al-Qadsia Club in providing top-notch facilities and comfort for all stakeholders, including the technical committee, referees, and participating delegations. He notes the widespread acclaim for the organization and collaboration displayed by the tournament's organizing committee, with no complaints or concerns raised by any parties. The successful outset of the tournament reflects the overall accomplishment of Al-Qadsia and the event itself.
Highlighting the efficiency of the AFC Technical Committee in a highly competitive environment, Al-Dhiyab acknowledges the smooth proceedings of matches. He credits this to the presence of a cadre of elite referees, possibly among the best in the Yellow Continent and even globally. Saleh Ashour, the Emirati Chairman of the AFC Referees Committee, leads this distinguished group with extensive experience in managing international tournaments.
Al-Dhiyab expresses appreciation for the enthusiastic attendance of fans, particularly the Saudi supporters rallying behind Al-Khaleej Club. Their strong presence since the beginning of the tournament has significantly contributed to bolstering the success of Al-Khaleej in the competition.
