KUWAIT CITY, Jan 13: The Criminal Court has sentenced Fadhel Al-Dabbous to a suspended one-year prison term, with bail set at KD 6,000, in connection with two cases of insulting officials from the Central Agency for the Remedy of the Status of Illegal Residents (CARSIR). Al-Dabbous was acquitted of charges related to spreading false news. The court ruled six months’ imprisonment for each of the two insult cases, both suspended pending final judgment, with bail of KD 3,000 set for each case. In addition, the court ordered the suspension of Al- Dabbous’ Snapchat account for one year, as the social media platform was used to commit the offenses, in line with legal provisions.
