KUWAIT CITY, May 10: Al-Arabi bolstered their goalkeeping options after completing the signings of Ahmed Adi and Abdulrahman Ajaj, adding them to a roster that already includes Suleiman Abdulghafour and Hussein Kankouni.

Adi previously featured for Al-Nasr and also played for Al-Salmiya and Al-Fahaheel, where he has been since 2023. Ajaj, meanwhile, impressed during the current season with Al-Tadamon.

At the same time, Al-Arabi allowed goalkeeper Ahmed Dashti to explore opportunities with another club ahead of next season.

The club has recently reshaped its squad, including the addition of Brazilian striker Lucas Chalon from Al-Sulaibikhat SC following the expiration of his contract at the end of the campaign.

The technical staff, headed by national coach Nasser Al-Shatti, is reportedly planning a major overhaul of the foreign player contingent. The club is not expected to retain Hassimii Fadiga of France, Palestinian player Zaid Qunbar, Moroccan defender Nabil Marmouk, or Bahraini midfielder Kamil Al-Aswad, as the coaching staff seeks higher-impact signings capable of boosting the club’s title ambitions.

Nigerian winger Ayano Iwala remains the foreign player most likely to stay with “The Green,” while a final decision has yet to be made regarding fellow Nigerian Christopher John, who is currently on loan with Erbil SC until the end of this month. John remains under contract with Al-Arabi through next season.
