Al-Arabi set to face Pyramids in final Türkiye friendly

ERZURUM, Türkiye, Aug 3: Al-Arabi will wrap up its friendly schedule today when it faces Egyptian club Pyramids in its fourth and final warm-up match during its training camp in Erzurum, Turkey.

Al-Arabi has played three friendly games during the camp against Turkish opposition, losing 3-1 to Erzurum, drawing 1-1 with Van Spor, before securing a 4-0 victory over Amed Sportif’s reserve side.

The Al-Arabi delegation is set to travel to India in the coming two days to prepare for its meeting with East Bengal on August 12 in the AFC Champions League Two playoff round, with qualification for the group stage on the line.

Meanwhile, Kuwait Club, Al-Qadsia and Kazma continue their preparations through daily training sessions at their respective overseas camps ahead of the new season.

Kuwait Club is holding its camp in London as it prepares for the Premier League campaign and its AFC Champions League Two participation.

Al-Qadsia, which is training in Turkey, is getting ready for its AFC Challenge League campaign, while Kazma is also based in Turkey ahead of its Gulf Champions League appearance.

Elsewhere, Al-Salmiya suffered a 3-0 defeat against Egyptian side ZED in its first friendly match during its overseas training camp in Izmit, Turkey.

The “Sky Blues” will play more friendly matches during the camp, with head coach Ali Ashoor aiming to continue preparations and correct the mistakes made in the opening game before the start of the new domestic season.

Al-Fahaheel has started its training camp in Alexandria, Egypt, which will run until August 20 and includes several friendly matches as part of its preparations for the upcoming season.

Al-Shabab has also begun its training camp in Cairo, Egypt, as it prepares for the new campaign.

The Ahmadi-based club is scheduled to play several friendly matches during the camp, as it looks to maintain its place among the Premier League clubs after successfully avoiding relegation last season.
