Al-Arabi set to battle Kazma for bronze

KUWAIT CITY, March 30: Al-Arabi will clash with Kazma at the Volleyball Association hall in the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Complex, vying for third place and the bronze medal. The “Green” team faced defeat in the league’s semi-final encounters against Kuwait club twice, mirroring the fate of the “Orange” team, which succumbed to Al-Qadisiya in the semi-finals.

Kazma secured third place after the league, while Al-Arabi settled for fourth. As per the tournament structure, Al-Arabi competed against the table-topper, Kuwait Club, in the golden square using the playoff format, suffering two losses. Similarly, Kazma encountered Al-Qadisiya, the second-place finisher, in the playoffs and faced defeat twice.

The finals will witness a showdown between the “White” and “Yellow” teams, featuring a playoff system comprising three matches, with the victor of two matches claiming the volleyball league title. Kuwait Club clinched the Al-Ittihad Refresher Championship and the Super Cup during the 2023-2024 seasons, while Al-Qadisiya emerged victorious in the Al-Ittihad Cup.

In other league news, Yarmouk prevailed over Al-Tadamon on the preceding Friday with a 3-2 scoreline in the silver square, securing seventh place for Yarmouk and relegating Al-Tadamon to eighth.
