Al-Arabi players shoot as Sulaibikhat players defend.

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 11: Al-Arabi secured a thrilling victory over Sulaibikhat with a score of 108-96 in the eighth round of the first division of the General Basketball League. Simultaneously, Kazma demonstrated dominance by defeating Al-Qurain with a score of 92-67.

With this win, Kazima elevated its score to 13 points, securing the third position. Al-Arabi and Sulaibkhat both reached 12 points, claiming the fourth and fifth spots, while Al Qurain stands at 9 points in the seventh position.The tournament follows a two-part league system, with the top four teams advancing to the semi-finals.

In the initial match, Al-Arabi and Sulaibikhat traded leads throughout the first quarter, concluding with Al-Akhdar in a narrow lead of 27-26. Sulaibikhat extended its advantage in the second quarter, thanks to stellar performances by American player Colbert and the Malian Alexander under the basket. Despite some defensive challenges faced by Al-Arabi, Sulaibikhat secured a lead of 57-48 by the end of the quarter.

The third quarter witnessed a comeback for Al-Arabi, as Hussein Al-Khabaz, along with American player Washington and three-pointers from Dinks, helped them outscore Sulaibikhat. Al-Akhdar finished the quarter leading 76-72.

Maintaining their momentum in the fourth quarter, Al-Arabi asserted their advantage despite the efforts of Sulaibikhat. The match concluded with a victory for Al-Akhdar, showcasing their resilience and determination.
