Al-Arabi renews Youssef Majed’s contract for four seasons

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 19: Al-Arabi is in full swing with its training camp in Dubai, UAE, ahead of the Zain Premier League 2025-26 season, which kicks off on September 12. The team will play two friendly matches, facing Dubai City tomorrow and Al-Arabi UAE next Sunday.

Portuguese coach Marco Alves is preparing his squad for a strong start to the season, especially after qualifying for the AFC Challenge League group stage. The camp includes 24 players, among them Suleiman Abdulghafour, Ahmed Dashti, Juma Abboud, Ali Abdulrashoul, Mohamed Khaled, Abdulwahab Al-Awadhi, Youssef Majed, Julian Ngui, and Saleh Al-Ruwaidan.

In a key move, Al-Arabi renewed Youssef Majed’s contract for four seasons, while the club aims to extend other contracts ahead of the new campaign.

Meanwhile, Al-Qadsia’s Libyan forward, Mohammed Sula, will leave the team after the Turkish camp to join the Libyan national team for its upcoming training camp in September. Al-Qadsia concludes its Turkish camp on August 29, with friendlies against Sitra (Bahrain) and Al-Orouba (Saudi Arabia).

Elsewhere, Kuwait Club continues its training camp in Prague, Czech Republic, with two friendlies scheduled before the season opener against Al-Nasr on September 12, as the team prepares to defend its Premier League title.
