KUWAIT CITY, Oct 25: The 20th round of the 2025-2026 Handball Premier League will be played today with three matches at the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Sports Complex as the season nears its conclusion.

Sulaibikhat will take on Al-Nasr at 4:30 pm, followed by Kazma’s clash with Burgan at 6 pm. The round’s highlight fixture will see Kuwait Club face Al-Arabi at 7:30 pm.

Kuwait Club has already clinched the league title, moving clear at the top with 23 points after an impressive campaign. Burgan has secured second place with 19 points, and both sides have qualified for the upcoming Asian Club Championship.

The main remaining contest is for third place and the bronze medal. Al-Arabi currently sits third with 16 points, while Kazma is fourth on 14 points. The results of their respective matches today could prove crucial in deciding the final standings.

Sulaibikhat occupies fifth place with six points, while Al-Nasr is sixth and last with two points.

The final round is scheduled for next Thursday, when Kazma meets Al-Nasr and Kuwait Club faces Burgan, bringing the Premier League season to an official close.

The focus will then shift to the Federation Cup, which is scheduled to run from early to mid-November. It will be the last domestic competition before handball activities are suspended to allow Kuwait’s senior national team to prepare for the 2027 World Men’s Handball Championship in Germany next January.

The 2026-2027 season is expected to get underway next February with the Super Cup, followed by the league competition.
