Kuwaiti coach Walid Al-Anzi

KUWAIT CITY, July 2: Kuwaiti coach Walid Al-Anzi has earned a new international role after being selected by the Montenegro Handball Federation to join the technical staff of its youth national teams, as part of preparations for upcoming European Championship qualifiers leading to the World Cup.

Al-Anzi will work as a fitness and conditioning coach with the Montenegro Under-20 team during the European Championship and will also take on the same role with the Under-18 team in their European Championship qualifiers for the Youth World Cup.

In addition to his physical preparation duties, Al-Anzi will contribute performance reports and provide real-time statistical and technical analysis using advanced analytical systems, supporting the coaching staff in tactical decision-making and enhancing match performance.

The appointment reflects growing confidence in Kuwaiti coaching expertise at the international level, particularly in the areas of physical conditioning and performance analysis within European handball.

Al-Anzi described his selection as an important milestone in his coaching career and a valuable opportunity to gain experience at the European level.

He expressed pride in the trust placed in him by the Montenegro Handball Federation, stressing his commitment to applying his expertise in physical preparation to help achieve strong results in the upcoming European competitions.

He added that the experience will expose him to advanced coaching methodologies and high-level continental tournaments, which will further enhance his professional development.
