Al-Ajmi praises leadership as camel racing season resumes in Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY, May 16: Rabeeh Faraj Al-Ajmi, Secretary-General of the Kuwaiti Camel Racing Club, extended his congratulations to the political and sports leadership on the return of sporting activity and the continued competition among camel owners. He noted that the club’s races are entering a new phase of development, marked by strong preparation and full participation across all rounds, with closely matched performances and intense rivalry in all categories. He wished success to all participants.

He added that the 23rd race meeting of the Kuwaiti Camel Racing Club for the current season was held at the late Sheikh Fahad Al-Ahmad track in Juwehel, Kabd, featuring highly competitive races. Camels from the Hail, Thanaya Abkar and Qadaan, stud, and Jathaa Abkar and Qadaan categories competed over distances of six kilometers, while selected Jathaa races covered five kilometers, including events for the club’s 23rd cup.

Club President Hussein Manea Al-Dawas expressed his satisfaction with the successful organization of the event and the revival of traditional heritage sports. He prayed for the safety and prosperity of Kuwait, its leadership, and its people, and thanked all participating camel owners, wishing them continued success.
