SHAOGUAN, China, Sept 8 (KUNA): The Kuwait karate team wrapped up its participation in the 23rd Asian Junior Karate Championship in Shaoguan, China, securing an impressive five medals: one gold, one silver, and three bronze.

Abdulhadi Al-Ajmi led the way with a gold medal in the under-55 kg category. Jassim Bafqair added silver in the over-84 kg division, while Ali Al-Ajmi earned bronze in the under-60 kg category. Turki Al-Ibrahim and Abdullah Al-Qattami also contributed with bronze medals in the over-76 kg and under-57 kg divisions, respectively.

The Kuwaiti delegation featured 25 players and showcased strong performances across multiple weight categories during the championship, held from September 5 to 7.
