Al-Ahmadi District secures semifinals spot in the Warba Bank Soccer League

KUWAIT CITY, March 3: The team representing the Al-Ahmadi Educational District, led by former international player Walid Ali, secured their spot in the semi-finals of the Warba Bank Soccer League for the secondary stage. This league is organized by the Kuwait School Sports and Higher Education Federation. They earned this qualification by achieving a convincing 4-1 victory over the Jahra District team. The upcoming match awaits them against the Farwaniya team.

Simultaneously, the Education Capital team, under the guidance of coach Nassar Walid Nassar, completed the golden square by triumphing over Mubarak Al-Kabeer with an impressive six-goal clean sheet. They are set to face the Hawalli team in the semi-finals.

Dr. Ali Al-Dhahi, the General Supervisor of the Warba Bank League for the Secondary Stage, affirmed that Farwaniya and Hawalli secured direct entry into the semi-finals by clinching the top spots in their respective groups. Teams finishing second and third battled it out in the quarterfinals.

The semi-final matchups are scheduled for tomorrow, featuring Hawalli against Al-Asimah and Al-Ahmadi against Farwaniya. The victorious teams will vie for the championship in the final match next Thursday at Jaber Stadium at 5 o’clock.

Nassar Walid Nassar, coach of the capital team, commended the significant role played by the Kuwait School Sports and Higher Education Federation, led by Faisal Al-Maqseed, and the substantial support extended by Warba Bank, both financially and morally. He acknowledged the return of the school league after a prolonged absence, highlighting the league’s role in nurturing talented individuals. Nassar praised the efforts of the technical committee under the leadership of Dr. Ali Al-Dhahi, who meticulously organized the league from the preliminary qualifiers to the exclusive rounds.
