KUWAIT CITY, April 15: Al-Ahli Club of Egypt has renewed its contract with the Tamayouz Group Co for Al-Ahli Football Academy in Kuwait for another three years at a value that is three times more than the previous value in consideration of the series of developments which the club is striving to achieve.

According to a press release, the contract was signed by the representative of Al-Ahli Club and its executive director Mohammad Marjan. Representing the Kuwaiti side was the director of the Tamayouz Group Co, the owner of the academy and a delegated member of the company Mahmoud Fouad Othman.

The new contract is due to come into effect on Sept 5, 2018.

Besides increasing the value of the contract, it also seeks to introduce other sports apart from football such as swimming and karate. It will set up several bold lines for the development of the work methodology inside the academy in order to achieve its objectives and ensure desired results that benefit both parties in contract. The parties involved also agreed on giving members of Al-Ahli Football Academy priority to work as trainers in the academy, and organizing periodic visits for the first team to the academy as a model worth emulating, as well as cementing the principles and values of Al-Ahli among the members of the academy in Kuwait.

In his role, the Board Chairperson of Tamayouz Group Co Dr Meshal Al-Meshan expressed appreciation towards the signing of the contract, affirming that the cooperation with Al-Ahli Football Club — the first school of sports, social and education in the Arab world — will have beneficial returns on sports in the State of Kuwait. “These benefits will come from more experiences which Al-Ahli Club possesses in the aspects of sports and administration. The three-year contract will give ample time to realize the desired outcomes on both sports and social aspects in Kuwait,” said Dr Al-Meshan.
