KUWAIT CITY, March 28: Qatar’s Al-Arabi has reinforced its handball squad by signing Kuwait Club’s Saif Al-Adwani for the Qatar Cup and Amir Cup competitions in the 2025–2026 season, as the newly crowned league champion gears up for crucial domestic challenges.
Al-Adwani will be joined by Montenegro international Vladan Lipovina, also recruited for the same tournaments, with the technical staff banking on their experience to strengthen the backcourt. Both players bring strong technical qualities and valuable Gulf competition experience.
The move marks a return for Al-Adwani, who previously impressed during a short stint with Al-Arabi, playing a key role in last season’s league final triumph. He remains one of the standout players in the backcourt and is expected to play a major role once again.
Lipovina is also no stranger to the club, having contributed to Al-Arabi’s historic triumph in the 41st GCC Handball Clubs Cup Winners’ Championship last year. The team edged Kuwait Club 33–32 in a thrilling final held in Muscat, Oman, securing the title for the first time in its history.
