AIRTEC ships aid to India to fight Covid-19 pandemic

KUWAIT CITY, May 8: During the challenging times that the world has been experiencing following the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in late December 2019, the Refrigeration and Oxygen Company Ltd (AIRTEC Group) has been very instrumental in helping India to cope with the pandemic when the country faced shortage in various items especially oxygen. 

The AIRTEC Group stepped in to ship to India 100 MT medical grade LOX through Kuwait government. AIRTEC also filled 1,600 cylinders with medical oxygen. The AIRTEC Group said, “It is our endeavor to stand by India in times of need.”   

The complete shipment has been done in coordination with the Indian Embassy in Kuwait and the government of Kuwait, to help India fight the pandemic  

The chairman of the company Mr. Alhareth AbdulRazzaq Alkhaled said all the liquid oxygen and the oxygen gas filled in the cylinders has been supplied free of charge by the company.   

He thanked his company employees for a job well done. He also thanked the government of Kuwait and the Indian Embassy in Kuwait for providing all the necessary support. 

The Ambassador of India to Kuwait HE Sibi George visited the plant location and met with the company chairman, it’s COO, Mr. Peeyush Jain and it’s Technical director Mr. Ahmed Elalfi. He thanked the AIRTEC Group for all the efforts and the extraordinary support that the company has provided during this crisis in India.  

The company also thanks AlRashed International Shipping Co. for their 24/7 logistical support and services provided.
