TEHRAN (AP), Apr 7: An airstrike targeting Iran’s Alborz province, northwest of Tehran, has killed at least 18 people and injured 24 others, according to Iranian state media reports.
The judiciary-linked Mizan News Agency reported on Tuesday that the strike also left dozens wounded, though it did not provide further details on the exact location or target.
Authorities have not yet clarified what was struck in the attack.
The reported strike comes amid a broader wave of intensified airstrikes across Iran, including attacks on the capital Tehran and surrounding areas. Recent strikes have reportedly hit suspected military infrastructure, including possible weapons depots in mountainous regions as well as residential neighborhoods.
Iranian officials have accused Israel of conducting an ongoing campaign of airstrikes targeting senior military figures and state infrastructure, although independent verification of battlefield claims remains limited.
