Air Arabia Maintains Limited Kuwait Operations Amid Airport Restrictions

KUWAIT CITY, Sep 8: Air Arabia continues to operate a limited number of flights from Kuwait International Airport following directives from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) aimed at ensuring smooth and efficient operations at Terminal 4 after Terminal 1 sustained significant damage in the recent attack on Kuwait Airport.

According to the Air Arabia Kuwait office, Air Arabia resumed operations from Kuwait on June 18 after receiving DGCA approval to operate a limited schedule. The approved services include flights G9122/G9121 and 3L023/3L022 on a daily basis, while E5213/E5212 operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. The airline said these flights have continued to operate without operational disruptions to date.

Earlier reports regarding Air Arabia flight cancellations were based on flight-status information displayed on the airline’s website.

However, the Kuwait International Airport arrivals and departures information appears to show a different status for some services. For example, flight ABY121 is listed as scheduled to arrive at 5:45 pm on September 8 at Terminal 4, Gate 73, while ABY122 is shown as scheduled to depart for Sharjah at 6:15 pm.

The differing status information highlights the need for passengers to verify their flight details directly with the airline and Kuwait International Airport before travelling, particularly while flight operations remain subject to the limited schedules approved by the DGCA.

The report published by Gulfnews.com stating that Air Arabia has cancelled its flights to Kuwait is incorrect and misleading, according to the Air Arabia Kuwait office. The airline has confirmed that its approved flights to and from Kuwait continue to operate under the schedule authorized by the Kuwait Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
