KUWAIT CITY, Feb 25: The skies over Kuwait lit up on Wednesday as the Kuwait Air Force staged a spectacular aerial display near the iconic Kuwait Towers, marking the nation’s 65th National Day and 35th Liberation Day celebrations.

Warplanes and military aircraft soared above Arabian Gulf Street, thrilling large crowds of citizens and residents who gathered along the waterfront parks and gardens despite fasting during the holy month of Ramadan. Families and spectators of all ages watched as formations painted the sky in a vibrant tribute to national pride and unity.

The air show featured Apache and Caracal helicopters, C-130 Hercules transport planes, Boeing C-17 Globemaster III aircraft, and fighter jets, including the F/A-18 Hornet and the Eurofighter Typhoon. Adding to the spectacle, vessels from the Kuwaiti Navy and Coast Guard performed a coordinated maritime display along the coastline.

In another highlight of the celebrations, the Kuwaiti Army’s paratrooper team, supported by police wing aircraft from the Ministry of Interior, executed a precision airborne landing near the Kuwait Towers. The team drew loud applause as parachutes in the colors of the Kuwaiti flag unfurled mid-air, creating a striking patriotic tableau against the skyline.

The festive atmosphere along Arabian Gulf Street reflected great national pride, as jubilant crowds waved flags and celebrated the historic milestones that commemorate Kuwait’s journey from independence to modern statehood—an enduring legacy built by past generations and carried forward with determination by their successors.
