NEW DELHI, Mar 24: In India, professionals involved in Artificial Intelligence (AI) can anticipate a significant salary surge, with reports from Amazon Web Services (AWS) indicating a potential increase of over 54 percent for individuals equipped with AI expertise. Among various sectors, IT and research and development roles are likely to witness the highest increments. According to the AWS-commissioned report, nearly all employers (99 percent) envision their companies transitioning into AI-driven organizations by 2028, with expectations of substantial benefits across departments such as finance, IT, research and development, sales and marketing, business operations, human resources, and legal.

Furthermore, the study revealed that 98 percent of respondents anticipate utilizing generative AI tools within the next five years. Conducted among 1,600 workers and 500 employers in India, the report underscores the growing demand for AI-skilled talent in the workforce. Amit Mehta, an official at AWS, highlighted collaborations with leading IT firms like Wipro, L&T Technology Services, and Iris Software to equip employees with the necessary skills for the AI-driven future. Additionally, the report noted a strong desire among workers of all age groups, including Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X, and even baby boomers, to acquire AI skills, with over 90 percent expressing interest in upskilling opportunities.
