KUWAIT CITY, Feb 15: Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmad Al-Awadhi, emphasized the growing importance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital transformation in contemporary medical practice, particularly in supporting clinical decision-making, enhancing the accuracy of predicting complications, and improving safety in operating rooms and intensive care units, reports Al-Seyassah daily. In his opening statement at the 12th Anesthesia, Intensive Care, and Pain Management Conference on Friday, Minister Al-Awadhi described the conference as a vital platform for exchanging expertise, promoting scientific research, and exploring development opportunities, especially in emerging fields where national talent is being trained and invested in. He noted that the conference underscores one of the most critical pillars of the healthcare system, a specialty directly linked to patient safety and the quality of medical care.

“The field of anesthesia and intensive care is a pivotal component of the treatment process and a key partner in the success of various medical and surgical interventions,” the minister said.
