KUWAIT CITY, April 27: The Ahmadi Governorate Committee at the Municipal Council, chaired by Nassar Al-Azmi, held its seventh meeting for the fourth term on Monday. The committee approved the numbering of streets in Mahboula and Abu Halifa, as part of a comprehensive plan to modernize the address system and reorganize road naming throughout the country.

This is a government project that aims to reorganize road names by replacing the names of main and secondary streets with regulatory numbers in line with urban development requirements and to ease access to various locations. It is one of the important steps in modernizing the address system, following a series of regulatory measures taken in recent years to standardize the road naming process and reduce similarity and duplication of street names.

A reliable source from the Kuwait Municipality told the newspaper that the road numbering project is implemented in phases, in coordination with the relevant committees in the six governorates to ensure rapid and accurate completion. The source explained that the fieldwork includes replacing old signs with the ones bearing the approved numbers, in addition to updating maps and electronic data related to addresses.
