KUWAIT CITY, Sept 17: The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition, represented by the Ahmadi Governorate Inspection Department, carried out inspection campaigns to strengthen food safety, protect consumer health and ensure compliance with health regulations.
The campaigns, conducted in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior and as part of routine regulatory operations targeting food establishments, destroyed 500 kilograms of assorted unsafe fish and an additional 25 kilograms of other non-compliant food items.
Inspectors also issued seven violation reports for various breaches, including:
- Operating an establishment with an expired health license.
- Displaying food items in front of the establishment.
- Using additional spaces outside the boundaries of the licensed area.
- Failure to comply with general health requirements.
- Offering, displaying and selling food items that do not meet approved specifications.
- Violations related to data shown on cards approved by the Authority.
- Failure to adhere to health requirements.
The necessary legal measures have been initiated against the violators in accordance with the applicable regulations.
