KUWAIT CITY, July 8: The acting Governor of Mubarak Al-Kabeer and Hawally, Sheikh Sabah Bader Sabah Al-Salem, affirmed during a meeting with several governorate residents, in the presence of Mubarak Al-Kabeer Municipality Director Engineer Hamoud Al-Mutairi and representatives of Kuwait Municipality, that the state continues its campaign to remove encroachments on state property in accordance with the law, while remaining committed to addressing citizens’ inquiries. Al-Mutairi clarified that the campaign focuses on removing encroachments and violations on state property and does not target agricultural activities. He explained that Kuwait Municipality regulations define the required setbacks and permitted heights for landscaping.

Removal measures include fences, trees, and other structures that violate regulations. All encroachments are monitored electronically. The law is applied equally to everyone without exception, including individuals with disabilities. Al-Mutairi went on to explain that Kuwait Municipality continues to remove encroachments along the coastal strip, particularly in Abu Al- Hasaniya and Messila, in coordination with the relevant authorities, the Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fish Resources (PAAAFR), and the Environment Public Authority (EPA) to remove neglected vegetation. The Ministry of Islamic Affairs is responsible for addressing encroachments within mosque premises. Al-Mutairi pointed out that regulations governing the licensing of telecommunications towers are in place, granting companies a grace period to regularize their operations. He called on residents to cooperate with Kuwait Municipality inspectors and comply with requirements to remove debris and dispose of waste in designated locations.
