KUWAIT CITY, June 13: First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahd Yousef Saud Al-Sabah brought to the attention of the Cabinet of Ministers that certain agricultural landowners are engaging in the storage and manufacturing of narcotic substances and psychotropic drugs within their holdings, intending to trade and distribute them within the country, reports Al-Qabas daily. In response, the Council of Ministers has decided to task Dr. Mahmoud Abdulaziz Bushehri, the Minister of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy, and the Minister of State for Housing Affairs, who oversees the Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fish Resources (PAAAFR) to do that is all necessary to revoke the ownership of these agricultural plots from their current owners. This action comes after evidence has confirmed their involvement in activities that contravene the laws, regulations, and established controls governing their use.
